Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Ideas
I think the most important element to a traditional thanksgiving dinner is the stuffed turkey. Without the turkey, it is not a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Other important foods that is synonymous with thanksgiving is the pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce. These are usually the sweetest parts of this holiday meal. Of course, you should also include vegetables and greens such as string beans and corn to balance the diet. I also like to have starch as well. All my thanksgiving dinners have corn bread and breadsticks.
The way you set up the table is just as important as the food. For starters, you should be using your best plates and flatware for Thankgiving. Why else would you need them if you don’t use it for such a big occassion? You should also have a clean table cloth and candles on the dinner table. The silverware should be laid out properly as well as a proper seating arrangement.
Non-Traditional Thanksgiving Dinners
Some people like to have their thanksgiving dinners differently. Vegetarians can substitute the turkey with tofu burgers. Others might not like turkey and will eat duck instead.
