Kids Halloween Costumes For 2008

Every year, Halloween costumes reflect on popular culture in TV, News and the Media.  Here is a list of what are likely to be the most popular kids Halloween costumes for 2008.

Iron Man

The action packed Iron Man movie that came out this year was a real crowd pleaser and it will do real well this Halloween with the boys.  You should be able to find it in any store that sells Halloween merchandise, right next to the Spider-Man costumes.

The Joker From The Dark Knight

Even though The Dark Knight was not a movie for kids, expect it to still be a very hot costume clamored by children.  The Joker will definitely be the most worn Halloween costume this year by teens and those in their twenties in Halloween parties.

Hannah Montana

Just like last year, Hannah Montana will be the most popular celebrity Halloween outfit for girls.  But expect Sarah Palin Halloween costumes to be the most popular costume this year among college girls and women.

Sponge Bob

Sponge Bob has been a kids favorite for a long time now and will continue to be one of the most popular Halloween costumes for the younger kids.  This is an easy to find costume that should be available in any shop.

Dora The Explorer

Like Sponge Bob, Dora The Explorer has been a costume favorite for years.  Many little girls start off their first Halloween with a Dora the Explorer costume.  This year should be no different.

Strawberry ShortCake

With a fresh redesign of the original Strawberry Shortcake, this will be a very popular costume for girls this year and probably for years to come.  Just the hat itself will help anyone easily identify her character.

So these are the costumes many kids will wear for Halloween this year.

Obviously they are not original ideas for costumes, but if you are looking for unique kids Halloween costumes, you can find many of them at Shop.com.

  1. Well, i love cartoon characters like sponge bob. I never thought it can be in the top list of Halloween costume this year. Thanks for the information!

  2. We dress the kids up in Purim, not Halloween, but along the same principles. My boys have to be super heroes though. They’d love the Ironman costume. Last year they were Spiderman and a Power Ranger (well, some days they were two Power Rangers).
